  2. John S from Montreal, Canada writes: its not just chefs who suffer from an inability to bring wine in from Ontario. Individuals cannot order wine from their favourite Niagara wineries either. Officially speaking one is not permitted to even bring in a case in your trunk after a visit to Toronto. (although that's really unenforceable).

    Time Quebec (and everyone else for that matter) abandoned that archaic rule - at least for the individual consumer.

    The lobster thermidor at the Ritz Carleton followed by a cannopied bed at the Hotel de la Montagne has never failed to get my attention...

    Fortunately, for the past 14 years, this has been with my Peruvian wife.

    She knows what would happen if I was left alone in Montreal without adult supervision, and does not permit it.
