Jean Malice from Fight Global Walarmism and Carbon taxes, Canada writes: HGTV played Mike Holmes rebuilding of the eco friendly home yesterday. There is no doubt Canadian constructions should be of this level of quality. Fine. My only objection to the Globe article and the TV show is that no where a cost estimate is mentioned. Clearly this kind of work is at a minimum $500/sqft based on my own experience. Sure after 3 years out of their home, it was christmas for this family, moving from a $350,000 building to what is likely a $2million plus. But how do we get to this so homeowners can rely on financing and not on TV programs? I wish Mike Holmes addressed that part too.
