  1. Sue City from Canada writes: I would break away from e-Bay. As a charitable vehicle, Gold's auction business has its own highly marketable niche. Also, the reputation of e-Bay sellers and the quality of the items they sell is precarious at best. Why associate a legitimate auction house with e-Bay and its sometimes shifty sellers?

Maybe a few years ago, but a short time ago the Globe ran an article about their "flat growth," and how ebay were changing their pricing policies to try and drum up new business. Unfortunately, lowering listing fees raising final value fees = higher overall fees. I wonder how many ebay users were fooled by their strategy. I have had ebay account since 1998 and have done some sales last 3-4 years and I do believe now it is more important to go with a credible ways of selling. The way ebay is organized, lets users to post more inadequate items then real bargains. With staff of 13, I can't see how to create a site that will outdo ebay. Especially when ebay sales and shares were struggling last a few years. I do not even consider other sites, since on a good note, ebay covered/addressed a lot issues. Good luck.
