For a sense of how the Hollywood writers' strike has changed network television, look no further than Central Park in May. In recent years, CBS Corp. has used the park's Tavern on the Green restaurant to stage a lavish cocktail party for advertisers and investors following a glitzy unveiling of its fall TV schedule. But this year, the U.S. network is scaling back.
