Roslyn Ritz from Montreal, Canada writes: March 18,2008: Reasons I hate the Conservatives: One I was a fool and worked many evenings prior to last election and joined the Party.
Second reason: I actually believed Harper when he said he would leave the income trusts as they were.
Third reason: Flaherty is the dumbest Finance Minister this country has ever had. If he didn' consult with his pal Mark Carney on every move he made, he would appear more idiotic than he already does.
You have to be a blithering idiot if you believe that Chuck Cadman was offered a bribe.
I have one hope, Kosovo separated and I live in Quebec....maybe I will get lucky.- Posted 18/03/08 at 8:06 PM EDT | Link to Comment

Better to light a small candle than to sit and curse the darkness from Canada writes: I believe that too much attention is paid by both the media who of course have to write something and by politicians who will find any excuse to indulge in a little spinning to bi-elections. It is rather like looking into the entrails of a mouse to divine the future. The dynamics of a bi-election are completely different from a general election, In the latter people generate much more enthusiasm. They often turn up to help the local candidate and there is an altogether different feeling in the country. If there is a feeling that one paticular candidate is going to win anyway, why bother is often the feeling.

diane marie from calgary, Canada writes: That was a very good and mature exchange between Mr. Laghi and the posters who took time to form and submit questions. Too bad that the conversation posters aren't similarly inspired.
