  1. usually write from Canada writes: If you read biographies of Edison, he used his spare time while working as a telegraph relayer in Ohio to invent his first products (including an automatic telegraph relayer), similarly Einstein working in the Bern patent office, was able to capably accomplish his patent work while coming up with the special theory of relativity (plus a few other insights) in 1905. Nowadays we are so engaged with 'busy work', I am not sure this could occur. It is a good thing that neither of these gentlemen were good dancers...
