Blair: Marco ... Scutaro!!

Jesse Litsch has tossed six no-hit innings and the Blue Jays up 2-0 after Marco Scutaro's scalding infield hit and an RBI single by David Eckstein - although Eckstein's single ended up in an inning-ending double play started by right-fielder Jerry Hairston, Jr., who is having a helluva game in the field.

Had a chance to talk to Buck Coats before the game. He's a man of few words, but in a sincere sort of way. It's nice he found out he was going north before a game against the Cincinnati Reds, because he played with the Reds for 20 games and he also knew Reds manager Dusty Baker from Baker's time as Cubs manager and Coats' time in the organization. Baker broke into a smile when Coats told him he'd made the team.

Ricciardi says the Blue Jays have been after Coats for a couple of years. He likes his athleticism and speed and the fact he can play - and these are Ricciardi's words - "all FOUR outfield positions."

Yep. Spring training's too long.
