  1. Albin Forone from Canada writes: From the photo, it looks like a bedroom (or possibly travel or kid's) video unit, I've never had a bedroom TV set, but recently got converted to the joys of sometimes watching a DVD on my new notebook in bed, but any decent notebook PC will render this gadget redundant. It's a weird market segment, since most of the (terribly overpriced) photo frames seem to want to be in the living room as a replacement for fireplace mantel or bookshelves full of family pics - this device is too geeky for that. I sometimes wonder if there there are families who are suckers for one after another pennywise $200 gadget who could do everything they want to do with an $800 notebook. I have to say the one LG thing I own, a little DVD-RW drive for an older desktop PC without one, has been rock solid and came with good software at a great price.
