B.C. minister quits over probe
VANCOUVER — B.C. Solicitor-General John Les quit his post as the province's top cop late yesterday afternoon less than an hour after learning that he has been under police investigation since last June.
The investigation concerns allegations of improper conduct by Mr. Les and other municipal officials over land dealings during the 13 years he was mayor of the Fraser Valley community of Chilliwack.
