  1. Allan Martel from Canada writes: Great - Now they're quoting Peddie to get material for the daily Leafs' story.

The youth will follow in the footsteps of others within the Leafs' organisation -play well until you land the monster long term deal with a no-trade clause. Then relax and live a little.

If the Sens miss the playoffs also we should have the Battle of Ontario consolation final with all revenues going to charities. This is the least that both these groups of players owe their fans. It'll never happen though if it did, I'd want Ron MacLean to ref the game.
  2. CD W from Canada writes: Hope for the Leafs? We need hope for the fans, so stick a team in Hamilton/KW and this competition will bring hope for the fans. The Leafs and their management can rot in the hot place.
  3. Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: Tlusty and Stralman score a few goals in a meaningless game against the Habs' B team and all of a sudden they are part of the Stanley cup blueprint.

Right now, they are AHL-caliber players, at best.
  4. Allan Hewitson from kitimat, B.C., Canada writes: Could not agree more with Billings. Strahlman watched the Bruins pummel Toskala and stood around gazing in awe at Boston used the Leafs to get out of a mess.

With no pressure left and the Habs just looking to get out of the game with no more injuries, Leafs looked a lot better than their real performance.

Peddie's opinions and a quarter worth about the same. There may be no angels left out there to work any miracles with this mediocre lot of under-achievers if this cliub doesn't get on with a rebuild plan NOW. My old gran used to say, "...live, old horse, and you'll get corn..."

Despite the many great playoff races going on, ego-centric TSN and HNIC commentators continue to bable on about the Leafs chances ad infinitum. Fans are so utterly sick of it all across the country. Give us a break and end this Leafs guff asap.
  5. Montgomery C. Burns from Springfield, Canada writes: "Actually, I look at this team and I can't see we're making any progress towards winning a Stanley Cup," Peddie told Elliotte Friedman.

Leafs will not win a Cup as long as Peddie is President or whatever he does.
  6. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: People on here suggesting Stralman and Tlusty don't have a future in the NHL don't know what they are talking about.

That would include Billings (big surprise) and Hewitson...

    Hab's B team? Don't get me started.

As for those that suggest Peddie doesn't have a clue.... congrats on stating the obvious.

Tlusty has been invited to play at the world championships... Stralman, Kaberle, Kubina, Steen, Antropov, Toskala and Sundin will all be invited as well. I'm hoping that Stevie Y considers Stajan as well.

Please note the names missing from this list.... lets hope they are all still missing in October.

    Cheers.
