Paul Collins from Canada writes: Alright now let's get to the facts here. Craigs list keeps money in consumers hands and is a healthy rival to the newspaper classifed adds. Craigs list is the most informative web site on planet earth. If it ever disappeared, a lot of people in their 20's, or 30's, would have to dig deap into their walet and invest in a print ad. A monopoly like G & L CTV media have a little competition. Unbelievable! Isn't a little capitalism healthy for the media monopolies?

h w from Waterlogged, Canada writes: What's the mystery here? CL offers a service with a well known brand. Another party is trying to piggyback off that brand! Clearly that is legally wrong. What do you think keeps me from registering microsoftsucks.com or donaldtrumpstaxgtips.com without having any authorized connection with those entities?

Lowen Wrainger from Canada writes: They're getting upset about one blog? Just wait until those copy-cat bloggers in China do a number on craigs-lisp. They have no respect for copy-reichs or intel-ect-tuel property.

Danny Mann from Canada writes: In this day and age a reputation is something very fragile. Far too many will make use of a well known name by either attempting to use it or a near facsimile to make a quick buck. People must be pro active to protect themselves. Today's media is far too quick to attack without knowing the facts. A case in point the Timmy's and homeless person in Toronto. In this case the blogger meant no harm but the owners of Craigslist did not know this. So, as someone who was taken advantage of by someone using a similar name as my small company, I support their actions.

A Mitchell from Canada writes: Craig's list is the biggest joke in the digital world. Want to hire a hit man? Well look no further than craigslist! Want to buy drugs or weapons? You guessed it! Craigslist is the place to go. Want to get ripped off buying a car? Yup.....you too can find a conman on craigslist selling a vehicle that doesn't exist.

also whoever made the point about china was on the dot, he should be spending more money getting ready for DDOS attacks on chinese blogs and other Anti Chinese remedies to curb copyright infringement in the red lands, (I think some groups have gone so far as to find out if there are any relatives/friends of rule breakers in Canada and harrassing them beyond belief to mild sucess- Posted 27/05/08 at 4:26 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Great point A Mitchell - because you'd never get ripped off buying a car from any other site beside CL, right?
