The Artist from Halifax, Canada writes: We don't get to see too much of Dion Phaneuf in Atlantic Canada.
However, I do remember that Newfoundland's Danny Cleary playing for the Red Wings last year almost made it his mission to go after Phaneuf at every opportunity. In fact, Phaneuf seemed to be deflated by the physical pressure that the Wings directed his way.
From what I saw, Phaneuf really didn't seem like a "Scott Stevens" in the playoffs last year... maybe, this year might be different...- Posted 08/04/08 at 12:50 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Popeye Dillon from North Vancouver, Canada writes: Artist: If your judging Phaneuf by the one game you saw tune in for some more games. On an average night Phaneuf would send Cleary to "Cod Heaven." The article fails to mention how pathetic the Flames were as a team the last few playoffs. I see this kid play all the time and he'll be as good as Scott Stevens ever was. You'll have to saty up later to watch some real playoff hockey.
