bob smith from Canada writes: Thornton is a perennial choker. He has never shown leadership characteristics and his teams always underperform in the playoffs (partly) because of it. I don't think he is willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make a deep run in the playoff.
You will be able to tell in the first two games if SJ will make a run. If he hides on the perimeter and behind the net the entire game they are toast.
