  1. Jonathon Goodman from Havana, Cuba writes: I have a suggestion.......break up this team and start all over again and work from the net minder outwards. Much like the leafs of this season, this team lacks heart and mental toughness.

The leafs will be having a fire sale soon and have such 'talent' as McMistake-McCabe, Ring your Bell-Bell, Bad Shot Blake and Sorry Sucker Tucker.

    cheers,
    JG.
  2. Rob C from Canada writes: Prediction: Spezza's gone in the offseason for a decent goaltender. Gerber can back up - Either that or Alfie will go. Something is needed to break up tis complacent bunch of losers and get out out of this low hung mung-like fog - Get two decent defencemen and dump some dead weight. There is a team somewhere under the camouflage.

Spezza for Luongo sure...short of that, forget it! As for Alfie...Look at the record with and without Alfredsson.

Lots of cleaning to do IF they get knocked out this round. If they aren't knocked out this round they'll be in the cup final.

You are less that an idiot and out of line.
I'm no Sens fan and I find you disgusting.
  5. Mac - GLG from Canada writes: The jerk off ( Paladin) is gone - I guess the G&M is policing free speech again.
For those that missed the ignorant comments - they had to do with Heatly's past and were uncalled for.

    Go Leafs (2009)
  6. j wilson from vancouver, Canada writes: The only Sens player the Canucks might trade Luongo for is Heatley. Alfie is way to old for a rebuilding team (rebuilding again!) and Spezza would be a PR nightmare in Vancouver.
Rob C is right. Spezza will go for a good goaltender. Probably packaged with Gerber for a near-top-line forward and a goalie. It wont be Luongo, unless more than a one-way forward who doesnt hit is offered.

Stifling free speech is one thing Mac, but a lot of what gets tossed off these boards has nothing to do with impeding one's right to an opinion and more to do with negating some idiot's attempt to see his name in print over what I'm sure he sees as a pithy comment, when in fact they are rude, inappropriate diatribes that are unpleasant for those that read them and are only expressed at all because the cowardly little sods that foist them upon the rest of us get to hide behind the veil of internet anonymity. These are not 'opinions' that would ever be expressed if we were all together face to face.

I've seen speculation on that trade around here before Vern - maybe it was you who brought it up, but I gotta tell you, there is no way on earth that's a deal anyone in their right minds would make. If Vancouver wants to dump Luongo - or he wants to come back to an eastern team - it's gonna take a lot more than Jason Spezza to pry him loose. Given the less than stellar level of play Spezza has shown the world when the chips are down and his team needs him, his stock is plummeting rapidly.

There's no Roberto Luongo in the Sens' future... not unless the deal is way sweeter than that.
  8. John Stanton from Canada writes: Who would trade for Ottawa's Jason Allison?
