The subject of human rights in Canada is in its most fertile and engaging period. There's not a single cliché of innovation-speak it doesn't embody. It's a whirlwind of novelty: out of the box, on the cutting edge and pushing the envelope. I owe to Margaret Wente's acute observations in a column some weeks back the understanding that labiaplasty and the surgeon's appointment book have been the subject of a hearing before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
