  1. Rob C from Canada writes: This will be great another game 7 involving a Canadian team - except I have Joe Thornton the pool - I didn't think this would be close
  2. Stewart Pid from Canada writes: Kipper earned his big bucks this evening ... game 7 play off hockey ... life is good.
  3. Nicolas Perrot from Ottawa, Canada writes: Game 7 should be very exciting. Flames played good hockey but many players still need to wake up. Nice shutout by Kip.

Go flames ! Go habs !
  4. Scot Loucks from Pickering, Canada writes: This one surprised me.... SJ didn't show up.

Not a good sign for the Sharks.

    Cheers
  5. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Go Flames ! Go Habs !

Nothing like a Game 7 to remind Leaf's fans that their team didn't actually make the playoffs... again!

    Cheers.
  6. Monica T from Sherwood Park, Canada writes: Congratulations to the Flames for winning this one and saying to everyone else that they're going to "die another day".

Sharks did not show up- this team has more mood swings than Lindsay Lohan!

Now both Canadian teams are in a "do-or-die" position. Go Habs! Go Flames!
  7. boom boom from Canada writes: Hoo haa, great effort from all the Flames. If they get the same on Tuesday they'll be hard to beat.
  8. George S from Toronto, Canada writes: Good to see Nolan score- like it was said earlier Go Flames and Go Habs!!
  9. Doc B from Canada writes: The Flames played their best game of the series last night. It was good to see them playing an aggressive style once they got the lead. Mathew Lombardi was great last night despite not getting on the score sheet.
  10. Sissy Schuss from Canada writes: if the flames make it to the final - it could be an interesting matchup - the firepower of the east against the goal tending of kipper

    kippers for breakfast anyone?
  11. You know me as Dije from Ottawa, Canada writes: Congrats Flames! It's been difficult to catch the games but the parts I have in this series has been really, really good.

If the Flames win game 7, that is a huge momentum boost to say the least... hope they pull off the upset!
  12. Juan Valasquez from Scarborough, Canada writes: I have Iginla in the pool. He better come through.
And As for the Canadiens, see you on the golf course!
  13. P P from Canada writes: Where's Ottawa.........hahahahahahahahaha
  14. J M from Superduperhockeyville, Canada writes: Too bad the Flames weren't in a real hockey town. Did you see the fans. First goal and they sit on their seats and politely clap. Second goal and you get the clapping plus about three woo-hoos. It's not that they don't drink enough there as Calgarians drink like fish but the disinterest is suprising. I've seen better fans at Wiggles concerts. Any real hockey town would be electiric both inside and outside of the venue.
  15. Juan Valasquez from Scarborough, Canada writes: JM just curious, what were you doing at a wiggles concert?
  16. You know me as Dije from Ottawa, Canada writes: P P from Canada writes: Where's Ottawa.........hahahahahahahahaha

  17. Tim Henry from Calgary, Canada writes: JM, obviously you were not at the game (I was). You need to lay off the bong, that stuff will rot your brain. Hope life in Edmonton is going well.
  18. D M from Canada writes: Calgary played a great game. They have a good chance in Game 7. Hope Montreal can win tonight also.
  19. Dim View from Canada writes: J M from Superduperhockeyville, Canada writes: Too bad the Flames weren't in a real hockey town....

huh ? what kinda crap is that? name one professional sport franchise with a fan base equal to Calgary's.. or maybe you still watch the game in black and white and missed the Sea of Red...we're not talking t-shirts handed out at the door - we're talking nearly 20000 fans wearing RED jerseys at what? maybe $150 each?

Flames will win Game 7 - bring on the Wings - we'll throw them on the bar-b with Shark fins
  20. Rafael Lopez from Calgary, Canada writes: JM

I'm going to have to agree with the guys above. I was at the game last night as well as Game 4 last week. Yesterday up in the bleeder's, last week in the lower second bowl. That place was simply electric, I've watched games in other cities and I can say from first hand experience, there is nothing like The Saddle Dome during a Flames playoff game.
  21. W R from Stratford, PE, Canada writes: Hate to say this but...

The Sharks will win Game 7. Home ice will just be too big an advantage and in the end the game will be decided either by a bad penalty call/missed penalty or a ruling from the War Room.

After all the universe must continue to unfold as it "should".
  22. Fiona McLean from Canada writes: This series has the flavor of the 1st round of 2004. Canucks and Flames.

Flames were the underdogs, gritty workers, and won game 7 in OT.

Does lightening strike twice? I sure hope so!!
  23. Mitchell A from Canada writes: Rafael, How about Rexall in Edmonton during the playoffs?
  24. R B from Vancouver, Canada writes: Mitchell A: I think Rexall is pretty quiet during these playoffs, no?
  25. Douglas Freestone from Canada writes: J M from Superduperhockeyville, Canada - Dude, you must be on some serious valium. I have been to rock concerts that were quieter than the Dome last night. Attend a game in person and then hit the Red Mile for a couple of beers and see if you still hold the same view.

And to echo other fans on this board - Go Flames! Go Habs!
  26. Monica T from Sherwood Park, AB, Canada writes: Rexall place during the 2006 Oilers Cup run was electric! All the fans on their feet singing the anthem accapella. Audiologists even did a study that measured the level of sound in Rexall during the playoffs and it was close to 110 decibels! Go to the Vancouver Sun website and search for "audiology study and Rexall" in your key words.

Let's just agree that Rexall Place and the SaddleDome are both filled with great Canadian hockey fans who truly appreciate their game. I'd much rather have a Canadian team with fans who appreciate them win the Stanley Cup than teams like Carolina or Tampa where nobody cares about hockey! Enough of the petty inter-team rivalries, guys!

It's time to cheer for CANADA!
  27. Alistair McLaughlin from Canada writes: The reffing was grossly in the Sharks' favour last night. Moss lifted a guy's stick and got a penalty for hooking. Tanguay hooked Thorton's stick, and Thorton pushed his stick away - Tanguay gets a penalty. Craig Conroy clearly beat the Sharks defense on the icing tag up, risking injury in the process, and the linesmen called icing anyway, then refused to admit their mistake. If the Sharks get that many breaks at home, the Flames will be in tough.
  28. Douglas Freestone from Canada writes: Alistair McLaughlin from Canada - I must agree with your underlying position that the game (and the series) was poorly officiated. Questionable penalties should never decide hockey games, and several calls in this series have had a serious effect on either the Flames or the Sharks momentum. You can always tell a questionable call when both teams are looking around to see who is going off. This has been the case with many of these stick penalties during the series. My only guess is that the officials have been somehow overcompensating for what had been billed by the media as a "tough" or "rough" series.
  29. Alistair McLaughlin from Canada writes: Douglas Freestone, you are correct. I believe the refs have been extra vigilant in the Flames-Sharks and the Anaheim-Dallas series. It seems to have hurt the Flames and the Ducks more than the Sharks and the Stars, though I will admit there was one game (I think game 5) where the Sharks seemed to be on the wrong end of most of the calls.
  30. R B from Vancouver, Canada writes: Monica T: Yeah, I agree with you about Rexall; I just couldn't resist the temptation to comment about this year's lack of noise at Rexall! :) I'm hoping for a Habs-Flames final, though I know it's just a fantasy. It has been great these past few years to see Canadian-based teams in the finals, and I hope it continues this year, for the fans' sake. As far as noise goes, the Pacific Coliseum here in Vancouver used to be pretty good during the playoff games I used to go to against Wpg, LA, etc. Sadly, there's not much to cheer for around here these days.
