Mariposa Belle from Leacockland, Canada writes: If Ovechkin and enthusiasm can win a Stanley Cup, the Caps stand a good chance.
Whenever I see the Caps play, I see a team having fun playing a sport they love - getting paid big time. I think Ovechkin's enthusiasm is contagious for the Caps and they are truly a wild card in this second season.
Game 7 - Go Caps Go.- Posted 21/04/08 at 10:02 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

tom h from Edmonton, Canada writes: Awesome game, and far more entertaining than the Habs' blowout over Boston. 2 sweet goals by Ovechkin... loved that one-timer... pass floated across, and even though he was off-screen, you just KNEW Ovechkin was going to appear to blast it home. Loved it. Here's hoping that the Caps' speed, skill, and enthusiasm can finish off the dirtiest team left in the playoffs.

Oh Yeah... great hockey game.
I picked the Flyers in one pool... but no great loss.
I'm cheering for Washington.

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Ovechkin. WOW. Hockey really is a game of momentum. You sensed watching the previous games that Alex was gradually breaking away from his checkers. It has seemed, though, throughout the series that both Biron and Huet alternate between being spectacular and shaky, as they have during the regular season. Game seven will be the ultimate acid test.

Imagine the melt down Montreal Canadian fans will have when they come up against a team who will continually body check them. Boston exposed their weakness. Montreal is going to have to get a couple of John Ferguson clones to get past the next round.

George S from Toronto, Canada writes: Alex Ovechkin was amazing- I hope the Capitals win game 7 just so that I have more of a chance to see this great young player in some more playoff action. Go Caps- but not as far as my Habs go!

Howard Young from Canada writes: Well if Washington wins game 7, they will be squaring off against Pittsburgh. That would be a great matchup.

Miguel Sanchez from Wakaw, Canada writes: All six finished series have gone the way I had hoped, for pure entertainment's sake. No Wild. No Devils. No Bruins. No Sens. So if the Flames and Caps win tonight, I will be one fat, happy cat. Ovechkin has me watching games like I haven't since Pavel Bure broke into the league.

boom boom from Canada writes: I agree about OV - Wow!
When he's on the ice (which seems most of the time) you can't take your eyes of him. Unbelievable anticipation, reminds me of Gretzky in that regard. If OV was playing in the 80's he would have had at least 150 points per season, easily.- Posted 22/04/08 at 12:18 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: All over but the cheering. A tremendous series between two talented young teams. Ovechkin was spectacular, but the Flyers showed that Paul Holmgren is as great a GM as he was a player. What a comeback from last season. And Bruce Boudreau has to be a candidate for Coach of the Year. Caps will need to get some younger blood to replace Federov and Kozlov next year, who have both lost a step. As for the next round, Flyers vs Habs...someone talked about a so-called 'Montreal meltdown'? FYI the Canadiens out hit the Bruins in winning that series. Obviously the poster never watched any of the games and/or has never heard of Komisarek, Hamrlik, Bouillon, Begin and Kostopoulos. But why quibble? In any case it'll be more great hockey.
