Wellington West deepens agribusiness coverage

Last year, Winnipeg-based Wellington West got ahead of the curve by opening an agribusiness-focused investment banking office in Chicago.
The employee-owned brokerage house built on that expertise Wednesday by adding veteran investment banker Steve Burleton to its Toronto-based capital markets team.
Mr. Burleton will focus on special situations, with an emphasis on agriculture companies, at a time when the sector is booming. He spent the past 17 years at Scotia Capital and Nesbitt Burns.
In addition to its investment banking coverage on agriculture plays, Wellington West has equity analyst Robert Winslow following the sector.
