The best verse is worth a wade through the dross
With National Poetry Month already halfway through, you have no doubt been attending many of the festivities: You have been going to the readings at your local library, reading the daily poems posted on the League of Canadian Poets' blog, listening to the daily "Poetry Face-Off" competition that has been broadcast all week on CBC Radio. Of course you have. Poetry is a big part of your life. That's because poetry is a big part of contemporary culture.
