Leaked results show Tsvangirai won 47% of vote
Leaked results indicate that Zimbabwe's government will announce that opposition candidate Morgan Tsvangirai won 47 per cent of the vote in a presidential election held more than a month ago, while President Robert Mugabe took 43 per cent, a senior official with the government-controlled Zimbabwe Electoral Commission told The Globe and Mail last night, speaking on condition of anonymity. The commission is expected to make the official results public as early as this afternoon.
