  1. FLUVIAL SEDIMENT from Canada writes: Thank you, JM, for this beautiful prose poem celebration of the joy of walking. Amen, amen and amen! Come see us in the Alberni Valley some time. We can show you some awesome hiking and the best fish and chips you've ever tasted!
  2. Carolyn Luce from Spain writes: Lovely and inspiring article ... think I will go out for a long slow walk tomorrow in the hills in the area of Italy I´m currently in... and breathe in those orange blossoms and sea air.
  3. Don Bates from Chilliwack, BC, Canada writes: My wife and I really enjoyed John's article about walking in Sicily and we share his many feelings about and obvious passion for long-distance walking. In 2005 we walked the 190-mile Coast-to-Coast Walk across Northern England and had the great fortune of meeting up along the way with a group of six Brits and a couple from Houston, Texas. We became great friends with four of the Brits and the Texans and have returned each year since to the UK to walk together as a group. We have done St. Cuthbert's Way, The West Highland Way, The Cotswold Way and last year spent a week in Keswick in the English Lake District doing day walks. Later this month and in June we will be walking the Fife Coastal Path and spending another week in Keswick. Meeting this group of people and walking together has been an almost life-changing event for us and we all hope we enjoy more walks together. Congratulations, John, on your excellent article. We would love to read about more of your walking adventures. Don and Joyce Bates, Chilliwack, BC
  4. Peter The Not Quite Great from Edmonton, Canada writes: Thanks John. Now my spirit is walking the hills of Sicily while my body remains at this desk.
