The Sunward Travel Group Naturists from Canada writes: Good for them! We participated in nude bowling years ago in Florida.... every Wed night the lanes just outside the Park closed except for naturists. We had a ball!
At our own Club, we play tennis ball golf on a small 9 hole course. How nice it would be to be able to play nude on a regular course! I'm sure we'll see it happen, sometime, somewhere.
Badminton, volleyball, basketball, floor hockey.... all could be played nude...one just has to find the facilities, and finding facilities are easier and easier as time goes on. Folks are finally starting to realize that we're not nuts or sex freaks, just regular people who prefer to socialize and participate in activities, nude, as it's just more comfortable.
Why not try traveling with us to the Dominican Republic sometime?- Posted 02/05/08 at 2:42 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

I wondered that at first too, but I'm guessing that they consider it to be wanting attention brought to your genitals, which is NOT why they prefer to be nude.
As to nudists not being in shape, I guarantee they are a perfect representation of the population in general with the caveat that perhaps the groups lean towards an older demographic that are more at ease with themselves.- Posted 02/05/08 at 11:28 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Winston Churchill from London, Canada writes: There was a story here, some time ago, about another craze. Nude hiking. Apparently adventure trips in the Canadian bush are marketted in the US and Europe for hikers who wish to do it au naturel. For my money, that one was funnier still. I'm thinking that those who buy the trips haven't ever heard of 'deer flies', 'black flies' or even 'mosquitos'.
Nude bowling (if weird) carries less risk. Biggest issue would be looking ridiculous -- lining the ball up, running forward bare butt jiggling, tackle grazing the floor during the elaborate wind up and follow through, followed by a gutter ball. Wonder if the humiliation would cause shrinkage (the icing on the cake)?- Posted 02/05/08 at 11:31 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

meme mine from Brampton, Canada writes: Why I call organized nudism just foreplay for swingers after observing it first hand for a quarter of a century all over North America:
Swingers, exhibitionists, voyeurs, pedophiles, reluctant wives, neglected children, shaved-pierced and or tattooed genitals on parents who run around like that with their kids, happy hour that starts at 11 am with beer, trips in the winter to swinger resorts like Hedonism and Paradise, guys who wear sunglasses ALL the time, that creepy guy who hangs out in the shallow end of the pool with the kids all day and camps near the kid’s playground and likes to coordinate the kids fun and sport activities all the time, naked parents smoking pot behind the dumpsters and portable johns, that guy that flicks his privates all the time, the fella who likes to invite non-nudists out to the camp so he can exhibit himself to fresh meat, the wives who have almost NEVER ever taken their clothes off but the husband is naked all the time with cocck ring, the creep who hangs out around the showers hoping to rub some suds with some babes or kids, the dare as you bare dances...............................

meme mine from Brampton, Canada writes: How did organized nudism become a sexual fetish group instead of wholesome family oriented nature lovers group? Simple, we celebrate sex now instead of being discreet about it thanks to the acceptance of sexual diversity. So don’t go around and saying that nudism is about openness, freedom, diversity and acceptance when you allow swingers and other perverts because you respect what others do in privacy. You opened it up to them by defining swinging as something that people do in PRIVATE, but NEVER out in the open. How bold of you! Even swinger clubs who admit to being swinger clubs don’t do the$ex out in the open. I know. And don’t forget that there are 10 times as many swingers as compared to nudists. Hey, this is about nudism, not me so don’t come at me with the personal crap.
The lamest excuse you hypocrites use is that there are swingers outside the nudist population. Brilliant point, except that sooner or later these swingers are sitting on a towel beside YOU because swingers eventually ALL try some nudism. Some stay, some don’t.
Nudism is a fetish through and through.- Posted 04/05/08 at 8:39 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

meme mine from Brampton, Canada writes:
It’s the children of nudism I’m concerned about. How is it that a police background check is needed to be a lifeguard, teacher or cub scout leader, but running around naked with YOUR kids is as easy as filling out a for an AANR card and bingo: he is sitting next you glaring at your 2 year old girl or your son or wife.
So don’t go around saying that your sexual fetish club you call a naturist resort or club is a safe environment for kids when more than one state are proposing background checks for all members of nudist camps. How could you object to background checks? Is nudism’s image more important than kid’s safety? Shall we go through the long list of crimes done to children with nudist connections and backgrounds?
It is about sex, not nature. Yes it was different at one time but stop fooling yourselves because things change. Get off your moral highroads nudists. You have nothing to be proud of.- Posted 04/05/08 at 8:53 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Yes, there are "alternate lifestyle" places like Hedonism, Desire, Paradise Lakes. None of these are family oriented places...simply places for sex combined with nudity. Perhaps you joined that community by choice?
But to equate all nudist/naturists with sex is simply a bold faced LIE! Children who've grown up in a wholesome family nudist lifestyle certainly have no problems. And, they're far more open minded people, able to see both sides of the coin, comfortable with their bodies AND their sexuality.
The majority of people that decide to investigate nudism, find that, after a half hour or so in the milieu, wonder what the fuss was all about. Some may not personally feel confident enough to join in, but they do leave with the correct idea, that nudism does not equate with sex and perversion, UNLESS THAT IS WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AND PURPOSELY ATTEND AN ORGANIZATION THAT SPECIALIZES IN THAT TYPE OF BEHAVIOUR!

I call on the PM to stamp out this evil movement along with all the other evils he is working on.- Posted 05/05/08 at 11:25 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

The Sunward Travel Group Naturists from Canada writes: Meme in Brampton. You are desparately trying to paint the nudist lifestyle as something bad. Your lies on the subject are abominable! I believe you are making up everything you're saying about pedophiles etc. in our communities....why, I just don't know. However, I can certainly set the record straight. In 26 years of association with various nudist Clubs, we had just ONE incident of a pedophile in camp. Since we constantly watch our children for their safety we noticed one newcomer and didn't like the way he acted. Nothing specific.... just an uneasy feeling. The individual was shadowed the whole day he was there, he never got a chance to make any overtures to our kids. He was not allowed in the next day. We checked on him with another Club and found out he was indeed a pedophile. His name, description, m/o, car and license number were then sent to every Club in canada. In 26 years, I have seen far more assults on children OUTSIDE the naturist movement. If you or your children had problems, the fault is yours and yours alone, for taking them into one of your perveted type Clubs that allow swinging and hedonistic behaviour. Yes they're out there, one Club got kicked out of the FCN fairly recently as they moved to tolerate such behaviour. And, one last point meme, to counter your LIES about nudism. The Children's Aid Society has absolutely NO PROBLEM with their wards being taken to nudist camps. I say this from experience, having taken our kids friends to camp with us, some of whom are kids in the fostering program of the CAS. Allowed, WITHOUT us having undergone police checks, simply because IT HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM. If things were, as you claim, there's just no way the CAS would ever let foster kids attend, but they DO, simply because they realize that going to nudist camp is actually BENEFICIAL to children's mental development, and self esteem.

The Sunward Travel Group Naturists from Canada writes: Meme from Brampton. It's unfortunate for family nudism, but there are many, many individuals such as yourself out there, spreading rumours and falsehoods, and trying to state that ALL nudism is wrong, and, perhaps, shouldn't be legal. There are definitely SOME pedophiles, swingers, exhibitionists, and voyeurs out there. There are Clubs that actually encourage deviant behaviour. I cannot condem them.... if they're adults, and that's what they want to do with their lives, who should say they shouldn't, or can't. However, for the individual that brings children into this type of milieu, I feel it should be a criminal act and the people be charged. Absolutely no problem there. However, wether you personally want to believe it or not, the majority of true nudist Clubs are sanctioned by the FCN or AANR, are family oriented clubs in which can be found Doctors and nurses, lawyers, teachers, business leaders, police, firefighters, trades people, housewives, and yes, Sunday school personal AND ministers. I've seen them all. About the only types I haven't seen are politicians! Not surprising. Mind you, we saw Bob Rae and Rick Mercer going skinny dipping, didn't we? Meme, you are one sorry individual to spew the trash you've been spewing on this post concerning nudism, but I'm not going to ask that your LIES be removed....I want people to see them for what they are. Pssst. Freddie, John...... guess what? Under your clothes, YOU'RE NAKED! :-)

The Sunward Travel Group Naturists from Canada writes: Oh, BTW meme, we now have our Police background checks because we are registered with the CAS as alternate care givers. We got the registration simply so we could babysit our friend's foster son (and yes, we took him to camp, even though the foster father won't go) however our registration allows us to babysit ANY CAS child. And, Yes, they know we're nudists and go to nudist camps.

meme mine from Brampton, Canada writes: SUNWARD TRAVEL Here is the deal. You nudists take this moral hi road with the wholesomeness, natural and healthy garbage. If it’s that much better than the normal world, that makes you a distinctly different part of our culture, correct? Like it or not, nudists have a completely different set of values than the rest of society. I myself was blinded to this fact as I championed the nudist lifestyle myself for far too many years. These are not lies, these are observations. If the public knew that nudists let their kids or have the potential to, shower with strangers beside them who are shaved pierced and or tattooed, they would be horrified. All any guy has to do is just join AANR or FCN and anyone can get into almost all clubs. Some clubs still do background checks or do sponsorship from other members to protect them from WHAT? Now try and tell me that nudism is not a magnet for people looking for exhibitionism, voyeurism, free kidyporn and a better chance for swinging. Explain what a security gate is for in this free and open and tolerent lifestyle of nudism that lets anyone in and pretends that they scrutinize. If the public knew that a nudists definition of a swinger is “only when it is done openly” they would not let kids in. If I had a nickel for every time I heard “openly” Openly is to nudism what a Mulligan is to golf. I never said that you couldn’t practice the lifestyle. I just don’t like it for kids for the reasons above. It’s not natural, it’s lowbrow. Social nudism is a fetish in practice, not in thoery. Too bad really.
