    Doubt it.

    Cheers
  2. Matt O from Canada writes: Told you your bet against Dallas might still hold, Scot. Seriously, everyone keep an eye on this one, could be very interesting.

    Cheers.
  3. Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Is this the year of the playoff comeback? Not from any kind of partisan perspective, simply looking at the parity that exists in the post lockout NHL. The Stars take 3 from San Jose, then the Sharks take 2; and SJ played tonight like they could take 2 more. Just as we have seen one and two and even three goals leads no longer 'safe', could it be that two and even three game playoff leads are not safe? An intriguing thought.
  4. John Stanton from Canada writes: San Jose is fighting well. They will still go down. Good for Dallas to face some adversity. Going to be in Vancouver for a few days so may actually watch some west coast games on PST.
  5. W R from Stratford, PE, Canada writes: There would be no Game 6 if the War Room hadn't disallowed a Dallas goal that clearly should have counted. The TSN commentators were totally baffled by the call. Does make you wonder.
  6. Allan Hewitson from KITIMAT, B.C., Canada writes: The expected results of the inteference of Head Office is showing in all of the playoffs. Washington is out because of poor (no, indecisive, inadequate) reffing...Montreal is on the verge for the same reason. Nobody knows what a penalty is anymore. The league insists the same standards are carried to the playoffs. Ask Dallas -- last night, reffing went out the window totally, especially in front of the Sharks' net -- the result was inevitable, a home ice win.

At least the OT goal was a clear miss by Turco.

I'll turn off the playoffs next week, along with 10 million other Canadians who have been letting their gardens grow wild. Thanks Gary!

  8. Gary Dare from Portland, Oregon, Canada, writes: John Stanton writes, "Going to be in Vancouver for a few days so may actually watch some west coast games on PST." Late games back east (eastern/central time) were less of a problem for me than 'early' games in Pacific time. That's a second problem for Versus in the US (after limited distribution and regular season games on Monday or Tuesday only), most of its games are in the central or eastern time zone so folks on the west coast don't see them at all. Thankfully in Portland, the new Oregon-centered Comcast Sportsnet NW includes a pseudo-local hockey package mostly comprising Canucks (about half) and Sharks (about a third) games.

Seeing the Sharks play in the final quarter season, I had some fears that they peaked early and dropping three to Dallas reinforced that notion. The Sharks' wins were harder fought than the Stars' were, so winning this series will be a struggle. Definitely a series worth staying up for!
