Al Gonquin from Down South, Canada writes: I'm tired...The hockey season is far too long, and frankly, articles like this are boring, and methinks, do little except fill in empty space, and give hockey writers something to do. Just think, we have another month or more of trapping, Don Cherry, panels of
pontificating "experts" and more meaningless articles.- Posted 03/05/08 at 5:29 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Pat Billings from CDN, Canada writes: I've noticed that the NY media has started to imitate the Philly media in whining about the officiating. To me it makes sense, if a team is quicker and more skilled, it only makes sense that they'll get more PPs. They are the one with the pucks not chasing after it.
Philthy ended up getting some great calls go their way so I guess NY is hoping for the same.- Posted 03/05/08 at 7:04 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Kevin Dooley from Canada writes: The hockey season goes on too long? I'd believe that if there was any other sport worth watching in the spring. Baseball in the spring is like hockey in the fall - meaningless games, really just an extension of the grapefruit league. Soccer has started to become a bit more interesting in North America, but still has a long way to go before it hits the main stream. The NBA playoffs are dragging even worse than hockey. For a sports fan I ask again - what else is there in the spring?
