More research, please. Such has been the refrain of federal Health Minister Tony Clement each and every time he has been asked to grant a long-term licence extension to Vancouver's safe-injection site for intravenous drug users, or to permit similar pilot projects in other cities. There remain too many questions about Insite's efficacy, Mr. Clement has insisted. The available research is contradictory. Academic debate persists.
