Only prosperous provinces will benefit from corporate tax cuts

OTTAWA The federal government's plan to reduce corporate taxes will only benefit the prosperous provinces and won't do anything to stimulate the slowing economies in the rest of the country, shows a study to be released today.
The federal Conservatives plan to cut the corporate tax rate by seven percentage points by 2011, at a cost of about $15-billion a year when the measures are fully phased in.
