A self-described "techno geek," Rick Segal shares his thoughts on what's ahead in technology and why small business often gets it wrong. Segal is a partner with J.L. Albright Venture Partners, one of Canada's premier venture capital firms, known for giving entrepreneurs an open ear when it comes to investing in new ideas for technology.

Previously, Mr. Segal was President and CEO of Microforum, a company specializing in integrated e-business solutions. He has also served as President of Chapters Online and worked at Microsoft Corporation as Director of technical services for the Internet Customer.
