  1. King 99 from Canada writes: I'm sure The Kid will not mind having only 2 goals as long as they keep winning. Afterall that's what it's all about. Keep feeding the puck to the goal scorers. Keep digging in the corners.
  2. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Absolutely agree with the above poster.

I sincerely doubt that Crosby cares who puts the puck in the net as long as the Pens keep winning. I have always admired talented NHL players who finish with way more assists than goals (ie. Gretzky, Orr, Oates, etc.)

If anyone wants to read a decent article on the type of player and person that Crosby is, read "It takes a village to raise a phenom."

Note the comments of his former coaches about how he would give up the opportunity to score certain goals to ensure that all his teammates got a chance to score in a single season.

BTW 23 points in 16 games after returning from a prolonged layoff due to injury is still not too shabby.
  3. P McLean from Canada writes: Someone is trying to come up with a story. If Crosby was so concerned about his goals vs the Penguins putting the puck in the net, he would not play the way he does. He would avoid going into certain areas, and getting hit the way he does, because those aren't prime goal scoring opportunities. What they are, however, are opportunities for him to control the play, and with all the attention focused on him, he makes it easier for the other guys to put the puck in the net. There's only one place he cares about seeing his name, and it's not the scoring sheet.
  4. Frank Smith from Canada writes: ... and stop diving.
  5. Jasper the Black Lab from Vancouver and Elsewhere, Canada writes: So long as Crosby continues to send the puck to his team-mates and send the Flyers to the penalty box, Penguins will win handily.
