Ottawa gets Imperial Oil's Kearl data
CALGARY — — The regulatory review panel that approved Imperial Oil Ltd.'s $8-billion Kearl oil sands mine has submitted to Ottawa additional material called for by a Federal Court judgment made in March.
In a judgment in March, the court found that the approval of Kearl, which is 70 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, was incomplete on the issue of greenhouse gases.
