L F from Canada writes: This is a cold unimaginative home. Hasn't that style already dated itself and become passé. Everyone is free to decorate and design what they want to live in but a feature story on that, I don't think so. I guess they move a lot. Makes it easier to pack.

A S from Toronto, Canada writes: Too institutional. Doesn't look like a house where people can wind down and kids can run free (without bumping their head against something sharp). I dated a guy who also gutted his Yorkville home to make it more "contemporary" (later found out he was OCD). Still, would appreciate seeing this design in a restaurant, store or art gallery.

sonny l from toronto, Canada writes: You guys are crazy, that place is gorgeous. I love industrial design, my buddy used to have a turnstile (Sp.?) in his studio. Not everybody wants to live in a farm house.
To each his own though.- Posted 09/05/08 at 12:23 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Child of the North in Canada from Canada writes: How sad to see this beautiful old home gutted and remodelled into something so foreign to its original design. This is a beautiful remodel but just so out of context to this lovely old home and neighbourhood.

W L from Canada writes: Incredibly eco-unfriendly. I hope the owners purchased at least $2million worth of carbon credits to offset the damage they did to the environment.
Their kids will also grow up with a complex that they belong in an environment filled with stainless steel, glass and stones. May end up in a mental hospital so they'll feel @ home.- Posted 10/05/08 at 6:38 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Sitting in da Auberge from Canada writes: Beautiful home. My wife and I very much enjoy the modern, uncluttered look too. Maybe one of you complainers has an old pair of green curtains you want to give them for the windows? Or a green shag carpet for the entrance?

A Smith from Toronto, Canada writes: This house looks like my law firm. I can only imagine that these two enjoy their corporate jobs so much that they want to acheive the feeling of never having left the office. To each their own I guess.
