Proud Canadian from Canada writes: Would like Olie the Goalie to give Ottawa a look. I was hoping that would happen before the trading deadline but now is just as good as anytime.

Nicolas Perrot from Ottawa, Canada writes: I disagree. Hiring Kolzig would equate having a second Gerber imo. Ottawa needs a younger goaltender, and we must stop using the alternate system. Alternating between two goalie hasn't worked for Ottawa.

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Kolzig on the market certainly makes things interesting. Goaltenders usually get better as they get older. If Olie is motivated there are more than a few teams who can use him. Wouldn't it be ironic if he ends up in Montreal?

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: Johnny Bower would no doubt disagree with Popeye. Fact: the top five goalies in the NHL this year were all the 'older guys': Osgood, Giguere, Nabokov, Hasek, Brodeur. Experience pays dividends.

Dave The Rave from Ottawa, Canada writes: 'Better' is always a subjective description. Fact is that Ozzy, Giggy, Dom, Nabby and Brodeur all had better seasons than Luongo.
