  2. Steve Prime from Canada writes: Nice to see Canada win of course but we have yet to play against a strong team (with the exception of the US team). Also, beating these other teams by blowing them away can cause Team Canada to get a little cocky or develop bad habits. Not something you want in the winner-take-all games. Good thing they will play a serious team just before the quarter finals to keep them focused.
  3. Proud Canadian from Canada writes: Team Canada playing well. Very well. Seemed to have 3 of 4 lines going great today. 8:30 practice time may be the answer to getting the team ready for a game. Even before a Timmy's
  4. Eric Kirkpatrick from Vancouver, B.C., Canada writes: When your blowing away the competition it's easy to get cocky and overlook your weaknesses. How come our so called top line only got one goal? You go to play 60 minutes of hockey and to score as many goals as humanly possible. If it's obvious a blow out than roll all 4 lines equally and give your back up goalie a period or two. But winning is the reason your on the ice.
  5. Random Person from Heard and Mc Donald Islands writes: So waht...The Czechs beat Switzerland 8:0 and then had to take Belarus to shoot outs....

    Next week will decide everything....
  6. Philip Ferguson from Mississauga, Canada writes: Having been born in '76, I wasn't around for the 47-0 romp over Denmark. Is there anyone in this form that saw that game? Wow ...
  7. D W from Switzerland writes: I saw Canada vs Germany at the Torino Olympics , and while the final score was a safe win for Canada, at any point through the 2nd period, Germany was threatening to suddenly reverse things; ain't over till it's over, so any win is OK
  8. J L from Canada writes: What a great hockey family! How many Staal's are playing in the NHL?They rank right up there with the Sutters It's got to be that great drinking water up at THUNDER BAY ONTARIO.Go Canada Go?
  9. Gordon Howe from HockeyTown, United States writes: Hey how's that Danny Heatly doing? I hear this non contact hockey is to his liking. To bad he couldn't bring that enthusiasm to his NHL career. Then again that's a mans game and they bodycheck a lot.
  10. Richard Hawrelak from Sarnia, Canada writes: At 5-0, they should have held back. What's the point of rubbing their noses into it? Not too classy Canucks.
  11. Richard Hawrelak from Sarnia, Canada writes: The fake Gordon Howe from HockeyTown, United States writes: "Hey how's that Danny Heatly doing? I hear this non contact hockey is to his liking. To bad he couldn't bring that enthusiasm to his NHL career. Then again that's a mans game and they bodycheck a lot."

Those of us who know 'Gordie', not 'Gordon' , know he would never disparage a hockey mate that way.

Are you trying to imitate the clown Sherry? I purposely mispell it it disparage the clown that he is. Get a new monacher Gordon. Don't contaminate a hockey icon with your blather.
  12. Proud Canadian from Canada writes: Howe, you worry about what's happening in America. U have enough to do with your Dead Wings. U are an American on a Canadian thread. Just in case you wondered, its an American Stanley Cup go, Americans are watching it. We have our gig over here, let us be. Ur team is a good team, your city stinks. There is not a city anywhere as desolate, dirty and dead in Canada as your own Detroit. 2 things make today's Detroit. Toronto Garbage Dump and Crak Heads.
  13. Eric Kirkpatrick from Vancouver, B.C., Canada writes: Watched most of Gordie's career and the part of his body that made most of the contact was his elbows. Great player but like the Rocket, fair play never got between him and the opportunity to score.
