MacLeod: One Down...

CLEVELAND – This is getting habit forming.

The Blue Jays once again failed miserably to ignite their offence behind a solid pitching performance by A.J. Burnett and lost for the fourth consecutive time, 3-0, to the Indians in the first game of a doubleheader.

The Jays, in losing for the ninth straight time here in Cleveland, have now gone 22 innings over the last three games without scoring a run. And it has been 31 innings since they last struck a home run.

Here are the lineups for game two. I only know who is playing for Jays as the Cleveland lineup has not come up yet.

Blue Jays

1. Shannon Stewart, LF
2. Aaron Hill, 2B
3. Alex Rios, CF
4. Scott Rolen, 3B
5. Kevin Mench, RF
6. Marco Scutaro, DH
7. Lyle Overbay, 1B
8. Gregg Zaun, C
9. Jorge Velandia, SS

Pitcher: Shaun Marcum
