By-election results confirm ADQ's dramatic slide

QUEBEC — The Action Démocratique du Québec suffered a major setback in three by-elections Monday, with voters passing severe judgment on party leader Mario Dumont's brand of populism. The by-elections confirmed the ADQ's dramatic slide in polls since it unseated the Parti Québécois as the Official Opposition in the March, 2007, election.
