Four dead as helicopter crashes in B.C.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — A helicopter carrying three passengers crashed in flames in a quiet residential area of Cranbrook, B.C. Tuesday afternoon, killing those on board and a pedestrian out for a walk. “It's just smoking rubble now,” said one resident. The accident took place shortly after 1 p.m. MT in the Kootenay region's largest city. The scene of the crash is about a 10- to 15-minute walk from downtown.
