Wise change of course

Rarely does the federal NDP, let alone the Bloc Québécois, serve as a model of restraint. But with some healthy skepticism toward the ethanol fad, those two parties have set an example that the Conservatives and Liberals would do well to follow. Until recently, Bill C-33 - which would set minimum levels of biofuels to be blended with gasoline, along with similar regulations for diesel and heating oil - enjoyed the support of all four parties in Parliament.
