Canadian Helicopters loss widens

MONTREAL — Canadian Helicopters Income Fund said Wednesday its pretax losses deepened to $2.4-million in the first quarter as costs rose primarily from higher employee compensation. The helicopter transportation services company said the loss in the latest quarter ended March 31 compared with a year-ago loss of $1.7-million. Revenue edged up to $25-million from $24.
