Toyota's Lexus division is reported to be looking at developing new vehicles in several key niches.
There is talk of a seven-passenger crossover larger than the RX 350 and a compact crossover smaller than the RX 350, too. An all-new RX is due later this year.
If a seven-passenger crossover gets the go-ahead, it would likely be similar to the LF-X concept that has been around since 2003. It could use the rear-wheel-drive Lexus GS platform.
Lexus is also looking at coupe and convertible versions of the IS 250/350. They might arrive later this year or in 2009.
Not everything Lexus is studying is a sure bet for production, and no one at Lexus is confirming anything. It is fun to speculate, however.
