Man, daughter die after being pushed off bus for not paying fare

BHUBANESHWAR, INDIA — A poor Indian worker and his 4-year-old daughter were crushed to death by a bus after the conductor pushed them off for not having the fare for the journey, police said Thursday. The bus conductor, who collects the fares, was arrested and charged with unintentional murder, said police officer Suresh Mishra. A conviction would carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
