Former CBC boss moves to Al Jazeera English

Former CBC News editor-in-chief Tony Burman is the new managing director of Al Jazeera English and is taking over as the English-language service of the Al Jazeera Network tries to expand into North America.
Still unavailable in Canada, Al Jazeera English reaches 110 million households worldwide, with more world news from its network of bureaus in the Arab world, Africa, Latin America and South Asia than typically found on CNN or the BBC.
