Newfoundland legislator Jack Byrne dies at 57
ST. JOHN'S — Jack Byrne, a member of Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams' government, has died.
Provincial government House Leader John Burke confirmed it during a legislative committee Wednesday night.
Mr. Byrne was a former cabinet minister in Williams' government, having served in the municipal affairs portfolio from November, 2003, until September last year.
