Canada's role key in Americas, Chilean President says
OTTAWA — Canadians should not underestimate the importance of the role their country can play in consolidating democracy and development in the Americas, Chilean President Michelle Bachelet says.Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited Chile last year and trumpeted a Canadian re-engagement in the Americas, asserting that his government will make that a key foreign-policy priority.
