The Irish may want to recall what they owe the European Union

DUBLIN — 'Are we out of our collective minds?" thundered the Irish Times on Saturday. A question fairly asked, to which the answer just might be yes.No country in Europe has benefited more from the European Union than Ireland. The Irish prosperity boom has wilted a little in the past year but, by any standard, this is the happiest, most peaceful and prosperous Ireland ever.
