New ministry to emerge from Ontario cabinet shuffle
Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty plans to cap the end of the legislature's spring session with a cabinet shuffle that will see Energy Minister Gerry Phillips return to the back benches and Health Minister George Smitherman step into his shoes, sources say.
Mr. Smitherman will lead a new superministry with responsibility for both energy and infrastructure projects under one roof, said sources familiar with the plans.
