I'm just wandering if the 18 min. blackout was remind the globe(subconsciously) of the "energy crisis" ? I know its far feched isn't it?
  2. Fred Smith from Toronto, Canada writes: Hey Dave...the game was in BASEL SWITZERLAND...the storm was at the International Broadcast Centre in VIENNA AUSTRIA...follow?

The German TV took the signal from the Swiss National TV 6 minutes after the outage happened, contrary to the TV UEFA agreement,as 29.5 million of Germans watched and couldn't miss the second half.

Most Czechs fans watched during the outage the german channel.

Swiss TV was the only one with direct satellite link to the Stadium in Basel.

All the other feeds were to be distributed by UEFA TV and that's where the problem happened.
