Two stark visions for Canadian Muslims

After the Battle of Uhud, fought in 625 between the nascent Muslim community of Medina and the powerful Meccan army, the Prophet Mohammed and his followers scoured the battlefield to see who had been martyred during combat. They came across the Prophet's uncle, Hamza, whose body lay mutilated. Hamza was a powerfully built man with the spirit of a lion, one of the few prominent converts to Islam during its early years.
