Incoming chief a telecom veteran
TORONTO — Only three years after joining BCE Inc, as the president of its core Bell Canada phone company unit, George Cope will take the helm of the company July 11, ahead of the closing of its $35-billion buyout by private-equity investors.
While Mr. Cope's tenure at BCE may be relatively short, he is no novice.
