Judge to rule on legitimacy of Biovail meeting
TORONTO — An Ontario judge will decide within the next few days whether
Biovail Corp.'s June 25 annual meeting – where founder Eugene Melnyk's dissident slate of directors was rejected – will stand, or whether the company must order a new vote.
Mr. Justice Herman Wilton-Siegel of the Ontario Superior Court reserved his decision Tuesday after a day-long hearing of arguments from both sides.
