Dennis Wilson was the Beach Boys' drummer and the ruggedly handsome one who made the girls scream. He was the one who really surfed and raced cars, lending credibility to early 1960s hits such as Surfin' U.S.A. and Little Deuce Coupe. He also occupied the band's dark side, having housed aspiring musician Charles Manson and his “family” a year ahead of the Tate-LaBianca murders.
