Leafs acquire Hollweg from Rangers

Associated Press

TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired forward Ryan Hollweg from the New York Rangers for a 2009 fifth-round draft pick on Monday.

The 25-year-old Hollweg had two goals and two assists and 96 penalty minutes in 70 games for the Rangers.

He has five goals and seven assists in 200 career NHL games, all with the Rangers.

He was New York's eighth-round choice, 238th overall, in the 2001 draft.

New York gets Pittsburgh's pick in next year's draft, which was acquired by Toronto in the deal that sent defenseman Hal Gill to the Penguins at the deadline last season.
